§ 99. Mr. Carrasked the Minister of Health whether he will provide for free lip-reading tuition within the National Health Service for those deaf people who are unable to benefit from a hearing aid.
§ Mr. BevanA number of hospitals already provide training in lip-reading. While it may be possible to extend in a limited way, training in lip-reading is, strictly, a function of the education rather than of the hospital authorities.
