§ Commander Maitlandasked the Minister of Education how many children have received grants to enable them to be educated at boarding schools during each of the years 1948 and 1949 in each of the following local education authorities: Lindsey County Council, Kesteven County Council, Holland with Boston County Council, Leicestershire County Council, Nottinghamshire County Council; and if, in each case, he will also give the number of children available for such grants.
§ Mr. TomlinsonIn the educational years 1948–49 and 1949–50 the local education authorities concerned gave assistance towards the education of children at boarding schools in the following number of cases:
