§ 51. Mr. A. Lewisasked the Lord President of the Council whether he will arrange for the opening ceremony of the Festival of Britain to be televised, together with the televising, where technically possible, of sections of the exhibition.

MorrisonI understand that the British Broadcasting Corporation have already made arrangements to televise and broadcast the ceremony on the occasion when His Majesty the King declares the Festival open from the steps of St. Paul's Cathedral. I have no doubt that the B.B.C. will make such arrangements as are technically possible to televise sections of the South Bank Exhibition.
