§ 29. Viscountess Davidsonasked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been drawn to the decline of £878,000 of the passenger traffic receipts of the London Transport Executive, referred to in paragraph 392 of the Second Annual Report of the Transport Commission; and what steps it is proposed to take to increase the amount of passenger travel in order that these receipts may be enlarged in future.
§ Mr. BarnesThis is a matter for the British Transport Commission and the fact that it is referred to in their Second Annual Report which I laid before Parliament in accordance with the provisions of the Transport Act, 1947, does not alter that position.
