§ 98. Mr. John MacLeodasked the President of the Board of Trade why, according to the reply which he gave on Tuesday, 14th March, a site for industrial development was selected at Muir of Ord without consultations taking place with the local district council and the local amenities committee.
§ Mr. BottomleyThe Muir of Ord site was one of a number regarded as suitable for industry by the Board of Trade and the Department of Health for Scotland when they undertook a survey last year into the general question of possible industrial developments in the Highlands. I can assure the hon. Member that any proposal to develop the site would be the subject of consultation with the local planning authority.
