Lieut.-Commander Hutchisonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if, in view of the expense to public funds, 41W he will instruct the British Council to discontinue the practice of granting scholarships in this country, which include travelling expenses, maintenance and other allowances at the expense of the British taxpayer, to students from Japan and other ex-enemy nations.
