§ 82. Mr. Gammansasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will suggest special consultations with the French Government with regard to common action in the defence of South-East Asia, in view of the deteriorating situation in Indo-China and its threat to Siam and Malaya.
§ Mr. Ernest DaviesI would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. and gallant Member for Macclesfield (Air Commodore Harvey) on 6th November. I would add that as there is continual consultation with Commonwealth and other interested Governments regarding the situation in South-East Asia and the Far East, I do not consider that further special consultations of the kind suggested are necessary.
