Hutchinsonasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation how many properties it is proposed to acquire and demolish for the contemplated extension of the London Airport; how many of these properties are dwelling-houses occupied by their owners; and how it is intended that the compensation payable to these owner-occupiers should be assessed.
§ Mr. BeswickWhen it becomes necessary to extend the airport north of the Bath Road, about 665 properties may have to be acquired and demolished. The number of houses occupied by the owners has not yet been ascertained. Rehousing will be provided and compensation 159W assessed in accordance with the provisions of the statutes in force at the time of acquisition.
