§ Mr. Mulleyasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that there is still an acute shortage of popular brands of cigarettes in Sheffield, in contrast to the improved position in many other areas; and what steps he proposes to take to increase allocations to Sheffield, in view of the changed pattern of demand since the base year on which allocations are calculated.
Mr. H. WilsonI do not control the distribution of tobacco and cigarettes, but I have no reason to suppose that the position in Sheffield is worse than in a number 127W of other large towns. I will, however, draw the attention of the principal suppliers to the matter.
