§ 90. Mr. Awberyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will consult with the owners of the rubber plantations in Malaya with a view to creating a reserve wage fund, so that the first impact of a slump in rubber will not fall upon the workers on the rubber plantations.
Mr. DugdaleThe High Commissioner would be very willing to help in any move by representatives of organisations for employers and employees in the rubber industry directed towards reducing the impact of a slump upon those employed in the industry and I have asked him to keep me informed of progress.
