Lieut.-Commander Hutchisonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, consequent upon the enactment of the Maintenance Orders Act, 1950, he will introduce legislation along the lines of the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1920, so as to provide for the reciprocal enforcement of orders for aliment between Scotland and those Dominions, Colonies and Protectorates to which the 1920 Act has been extended by Order in Council.
Mr. McNeilWhile I am prepared to keep the matter under review, I am afraid that the practical difficulties in applying the Act of 1920 to Scotland have hitherto been found insuperable.
