§ 31. Mr. Bossomasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies, in view of his overriding responsibility for the welfare of the natives employed in the Gambia poultry experiment, what special provision is being made to care for their welfare.
Mr. DugdaleAfricans employed on this scheme enjoy, among other things, free medical service. Special attention is paid to their vocational training so that the knowledge they acquire may be of use in the future. The Governor is being asked for a full account of the various welfare services and I will write to the hon. Member when I have received his reply.
