§ Mr. WebbThe latest available figure of the number of agricultural, horticultural and allied workers receiving the special cheese ration is 599,522. I cannot say for how many people seasonal allowances were drawn in August, 1949, as our returns show quarterly totals only. Issues from July to September, 1949, inclusive would, however, have provided continuous allowances for just under 650,000 people for those three months.
