Mr. McNeilAbout 110 staff are employed in the Central National Registration Office in Edinburgh at a cost of about £30,000 a year. In addition, it is estimated that the equivalent of about 210 of the staff in local food offices in Scotland are employed on national registration work at a cost of £70,000 a year. There are no separate national registration staffs in local offices, the work being carried out by Ministry of Food staffs at offices of the Ministry throughout Scotland.
