§ Mr. StokesThe Sub-Committee reviewed in 1947 the forms used by my Department in operating controls and collecting statistics and, as a result, the forms were then considerably simplified and their number reduced. Since then the Sub-Committee has been consulted on further reductions in the use of forms, and it has been found possible to dispense with three forms, to simplify two others, and to reduce the frequency of a statistical return from quarterly to annual intervals.
