Mr. Prescottasked the Minister of Health what consultations are provided for under the revision of terms of service in connection with price reviews respecting chemists under the National Health Scheme; and in what consultations his Department took part in before the reduced charges for medicines were brought into operation on 1st May, last.
§ Mr. BevanExcept when three months notice is given, an alteration of the terms of service for chemists must be approved by the Minister after consultation with an organisation which is, in his opinion, representative of the general body of chemists. The Chemists' Contractors' Committee was consulted by letter dated 14th April.
