§ 93. Mr. Prescottasked the Minister of Agriculture what representations he has received regarding increased prices for egg producers, resulting from the proposed termination of the feedingstuffs subsidy; and what reply he made to such representations.
Mr. T. WilliamsSeveral poultry organisations have made such representations and in replying to them I have stated that all relevant factors including the effect of the withdrawal of the feeding-stuffs subsidy on production costs were taken into account when the egg prices for 1950–51 were settled following the annual review undertaken in consultation with the Farmers' Unions.
