Mr. Alportasked the Minister of Agriculture if he is aware of the hardships caused to small poultry keepers. who are making a valuable contribution to the provision of our food supplies, by the rise in the prices of feedingstuffs and whether he intends to take any action to alleviate their difficulties.
Mr. T. WilliamsYes; the hon. Member will recall that on 23rd March last I announced an extension of the Marginal Production Scheme designed to relieve certain small producers, including poultry keepers, of part of the increased cost of purchased feedingstuffs.
