§ Mr. StracheyOn 1st January, 1938, the strength of the Territorial Army Reserve—which then comprised officers of the Territorial Army Reserve of Officers and Officers Training Corps and officers and other ranks of National Defence Companies—was 8,011 officers and 6,413 other ranks. On 1st January, 1939, the corresponding figures were 8,084 officers and 6,461 other ranks. It would not be in the public interest to disclose figures for 1st January, 1950.
