§ Sir S. CrippsI have been asked to reply. I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Aylesbury (Mr. Summers) on 5th April, 1950. It is not possible to state the amount of revenue received from Purchase Tax on the articles mentioned because in most cases only a small part of a particular class of articles subject to the tax enters into the index.
