§ Mr. WebbUnder a long-standing arrangement, oils and fats are allocated to soapmakers by the Soap Makers' and Fat Splitters' Federation from bulk supplies provided each month by my Department. The Federation introduced on 1st January, 1950, a modification of their method of making allocations which has resulted in some re-allocation of materials between individual manufacturers but I cannot say how it has affected makers of different types of soap.
