Colonel Clarkeasked the Minister of Transport whether he will take steps to include in the next revised edition of the Highway Code a reference to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Act, 1930, which makes it an offence without lawful authority to drive 163W motor vehicles more than 15 yards off the highway.
§ Mr. BarnesNo. As stated in my foreword to the Highway Code, each provision in it has been included because of its importance in preventing road accidents and I consider that the objects of the Code will be best achieved by adhering to that principle.
