asked the Secretary of State for Air what decisions have now been taken about the distribution of the Royal Air Force Prize Fund.

As already announced, it is the intention to apply the £1,250,000 which was credited to the Royal Air Force Prize Fund in approximately equal shares for the benefit of present members of the Royal Air Force and past members and their dependants respectively. In accordance with Section 3 of the Prize Act, 1948, the Air Council have approved the following grants:

"PRESENT SHARE"

All commands at home and overseas 250,000
The division to be on the basis of the estimated future establishments of commands.
Endowments:—
(a) Cadets
Royal Air Force College including Equipment and Secretarial Wing 50,000
Royal Air Force Officer Cadet Training Wing 14,000
Women's Royal Air Force Officer Cadet Training Unit 6,000
(b) Apprentices
No. 1 School of Technical Training 60,000
No. 1 Radio School
Administrative Apprentices Training School.
(c) Boys
No. 5 School of Technical Training 50,000
No. 2 Radio School
No. 3 Radio School
No. 10 School of Technical Training
Malcolm Clubs 30,000
Royal Air Force Sports Board 20,000
Royal Air Force College, Bracknell 3,000

£100,000 (part of £300,000) to be set aside as a scholarship fund for the benefit of children of Royal Air Force personnel whose death is attributable to service.
