§ Mr. WebbThe value of food imports from Poland was £5.3 million in 1948 and £8.8 million in 1949. I am glad to say that there is a good prospect of further increases in food imports this year, particularly in bacon and eggs. A satisfactory agreement about these imports has just been concluded.
