§ 78. Mr. Lowasked the Secretary of State for War how many Regular commissions have been granted in the current financial year; how many were granted in the previous financial year; and how many cadets passed through the Royal Military Academy in each year.
§ Mr. StewartDuring the period 1st April, 1949, to 28th February, 1950, 1,185 regular Army commissions were granted, of which 615 were given to cadets passing out of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. The figures for the whole financial year 1948–49 were 1,631 and 864 respectively.
