Mr. Boyd-Carpenterasked the Secretary to the Treasury what was the cost to public funds of investigating and pursuing a claim for £17 4s. 6d. in respect of arrears of Income Tax alleged to have arisen as the result of the failure of the Army authorities to make proper deductions in 1946 from the Service pay of a Surbiton resident, particulars of whom have been sent to him.
