§ Mr. Pooleasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, as a result of his discussions with the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations, he is able to announce any relaxation of the present restrictions on the transfer of funds by emigrants to Canada.
§ Sir S. CrippsYes. In future all emigrants who can make out a good case will be permitted to draw in the first year such sum up to the total for the four years, as they require. The amounts to be anticipated in this way will be determined in each case on its merits. It is not yet possible to increase the total of the amount allowed to be taken.
