§ Mr. LindgrenYes. Programmes will be authorised to the value of a total expenditure of £4 million in 1951, and some additional new work will be able to be started in the current year. My right hon. Friend is asking the local authorities of cities with badly damaged centres for a list of the projects which could be started in the near future, having regard to the labour force available after housing, industrial and other essential building needs have been met, together with an estimate of the expenditure involved both in this year and next.
