HC Deb 13 June 1950 vol 476 c1W
8. Lord Dunglass

asked the Minister of National Insurance how many insured persons in the first four months of 1950 have been disqualified for sickness benefit on the grounds of late intimation of sickness; and how many of these were in respect of first claims, for which a medical certificate was produced.

Dr. Summerskill

I regret that this information is not available, but tests which have been made from time to time indicate that the total numbers concerned are very small.
