§ Mr. BeswickThe annual subsidy planned for United Kingdom internal air services in 1939 was subject to a maximum of £100,000. No specific allocation of the subsidy was made for services in Scotland. It has been estimated that 151W about one-third of British European Airways' operating deficit in 1948/49, was incurred on services to and within Scotland.
