§ 92. Mr. Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps have been taken by the Government of North Borneo to find the labour necessary for the development of the Colony.
§ Mr. J. GriffithsA great number of possible sources of immigrant labour for the development of the Colony have been under investigation for some time. During the past year a few hundred workers with their families have been recruited from Singapore, Sarawak and the Cocos Islands, and it is hoped to recruit further from these sources as well as from Java.
