§ Mr. Ness EdwardsSupplies of telephone equipment are limited by the funds available to the Post Office for capital investment. During the year ended 31st March, 1950, 160,133 new applications could not be met, but 380,696 orders were completed, including 162,243 outstanding from previous years. Separate figures are not available for business and residential applications.
