Slater, 9, Neville Road, Forest Gate, E.7, who successfully completed a course of training under the Emergency Training Scheme at the Camden Emergency Training College, has, so far, been unsuccessful in obtaining employment in the teaching profession; and what action he proposes to take to rectify this position.
§ Mr. TomlinsonThe Ministry of Education is not an employer of teachers and I have no information about individual teachers. In Circular 222, dated 29th June, a copy of which I am sending to my hon. Friend, I have informed local education authorities of the number of teachers who will be available in the coming year and have advised them to appoint teachers now against requirements for the school year as a whole.
