§ 63. Mr. Jannerasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will arrange with the Customs authorities to examine passengers' luggage in train ferries while they are en route as is done by the French Customs and not leave such examination until the arrival of passengers at their destination.
§ Mr. JayI am satisfied that the present arrangements, which leave passengers undisturbed until they reach Victoria Station, meet the general convenience of train ferry passengers better than would the suggested alternative.
