§ 92. Mr. Fernyhoughasked the Minister of Health if he has considered a case which has been submitted to him where a doctor is unable to get a new car; and what steps he is taking to prevent local breakdowns of the National Health Service due to this cause.
§ Mr. BevanYes. There are arrangements made between the British Medical Association and the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders to give all possible preferential treatment to doctors in urgent need, and I understand that those concerned are doing what they can to assist. I myself am not in a position to do more.
