§ 106. Mr. Hollisasked the Minister of Labour why he did not re-appoint Lord Ammon as Chairman of the National Dock Labour Board.
§ Mr. IsaacsLord Ammon's appointment was for a definite period, expiring on 31st December, 1950. It is not customary nor would it be desirable to state why a particular person is not considered for a particular post. I would like to take this opportunity of expressing publicly, as I have already done privately, the Government's appreciation of Lord Ammon's services during his tenure of this office.
§ 107. Lieut.-Colonel Liptonasked the Minister of Labour whether he will make a statement on the future composition and jurisdiction of the National Dock Labour Board.
