Noel-BakerMy predecessor asked the area electricity boards to give to supplies to farms and farm-workers' cottages when the supplies would assist food production, a priority equal to that of new housing and essential public service requirements. There has been no change in this policy, but the rate at which the rural network can be extended is naturally controlled by the amount of capital investment which the nation can afford.
