asked the Minister of National Insurance if she is aware that negotiations are taking place to give women working in the School Meals Service an advance of wages; and whether she will amend the regulations to allow the wives of old age pensioners working in this service to earn up to 25s. per week before they lose their dependant's benefit.

No. I think it would only create unjustifiable anomalies if the conditions governing the payment of increases of benefit for dependants were modified in the interests of a particular group of wage earners.
