§ Mr. Granvilleasked the Minister of Transport if he will give the total number of passenger omnibuses in use in the area of the Eastern Counties in the year 1930 and the year 1949.
§ Mr. BarnesI regret that the only figures available are not comparable owing, amongst other reasons, to changes in the boundary of the Eastern Traffic Area. The number of public service vehicles licensed in that area at the 31st March, 1932 (the end of the first period for which statistics are available) was 2,342. The number owned in the area at 31st March, 1949, was 2,810.
