§ Mr. BevanThe number of tuberculosis beds provided in institutions classed as sanatoria and tuberculosis hospitals is about 27,700, of which about 4,400 are unstaffed. There are some 3,500 staffed tuberculosis beds in other hospitals. Of the 31,200 staffed beds approximately 27,200 are for pulmonary and 4,000 for non-pulmonary tuberculosis.
