§ 91. Mr. Lowasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will make a statement about the Hamlyn Report and announce his decision upon it.
§ Mr. StracheyThe Hamlyn Report, prepared at the request of the Council of Territorial and Auxiliary Forces Associations, deals with certain matters affecting the emoluments of officers and other ranks of the Territorial Army and was submitted to my Department early this year. The Report, which contains certain financial recommendations, is being examined. Important points of principle are involved and consultation will be necessary with other Departments. I cannot, therefore, promise a decision in the immediate future.
