§ 102. Mr. Jannerasked the Attorney-General when he expects to receive the final report of the Leasehold Committee; and what steps he proposes to take soon to deal with the difficulties which are being experienced by lessees and tenants of shops when their leases expire.
§ The Attorney-GeneralThe final report of the Leasehold Committee has not yet been received and I am not in a position to make a statement. However, I understand that the drafting of the report is in its final stages and the report may be expected within about a month. The Government as I stated in reply to Questions60W on 13th March, 1950, have deferred reaching a decision on the proposals contained in the Interim Report of the Leasehold Committee until they have had an opportunity of considering any recommendations that may be made in the committee's final report.
