§ Mr. WebbI am glad to say that I have been able to increase the scale of seasonal allowances for farm workers this year. The new weekly quantities will be:
61W The daily rate will be one-sixth of the weekly rate. In view of the changes in the points scheme, I have included the bacon in place of the former allowance of points. I am afraid that, for the reasons which I gave to the hon. Member for Norfolk, Central (Brigadier Medlicott) on 13th March, I cannot agree to allow workers to collect these allowances for themselves, but the new quantities should be much easier to share out.
