§ 54. Mr. Rodgersasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in order to maintain a high level of secondary education in this country, he will arrange that assistance, in the form of a tax rebate as in the case of insurance, should be given to those people who desire to educate their children at independent secondary schools, recognised as efficient by the Board of Education, since full implementation of the Government's proposals for the development of secondary education is not, at present, contemplated.
