§ Sir E. Graham-Littleasked the Minister of Health why he has refused the assistance of the Medical Defence Union to doctors who are accused before the Medical Services Committee of professional negligence; and whether he will withdraw this prohibition.
§ Mr. BevanThe Regulations permit a party to an investigation by any service committee of an executive council to be assisted in the presentation of his case by some other person, provided that no person shall be entitled, in the capacity of counsel, solicitor or other paid advocate, to conduct the case for any party by addressing the committee or examining witnesses. I see no reason to alter these arrangements.
