§ 76. Commander Nobleasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether any decision has yet been reached on whether to pay a gratuity of £100 to men who re-engage and not to those who do not.
Mr. DugdaleAs I informed the House on 29th June, we have under consideration various alternatives for inducing a greater number of men to re-engage on completing their first continuous service engagement. An announcement will be made as soon as decisions are taken.
