§ Sir W. Darlingasked the Minister of Labour what reductions have been made and are being made in the staff of his Department as a result of a policy of full employment.
§ Mr. IsaacsThere has been a decrease of over 10,000 in the staff of my Department during the past two years, but I am unable to say how much of this is attributable to the policy of full employment. The work of dealing with unemployed persons, which was so heavy in the past, has naturally declined but, on the other hand, the placing and other services of the Department have greatly increased.
