asked the Minister of Labour what is the total number of days' work which have been lost in all sections of the Lancashire textile industry, since: 31st December, 1945, owing to strikes.

The number of days lost through industrial disputes causing stoppage of work in the spinning, weaving and bleaching and dyeing of cotton in Lancashire from 1st January, 1946, to 31st October, 1949, was about 58,000.
