Mr. Vane

asked the Postmaster-General what is the average area of land he requires for a television station and how many such areas will be required for the construction of stations over the next two years.

Mr. Wilfred Paling:

I understand from the B.B.C. that the average area of land required for a television station is about 30 acres. As far as can be judged, it will be necessary for the Corporation to acquire four or five such areas within the next two years.
