§ 14. Brigadier Medlicottasked the Secretary of State for Air if he is aware that the 21 acres of land proposed to be requisitioned by his Department at Walcot, Norfolk, is first-class agricultural land and being actively farmed; that nearby there is other land of less agricultural value; and if he will have the proposal re-examined before a final decision is taken.
§ Mr. de Freitas:A proposal to buy this land was made only after preliminary local discussions had shown that it was open to less objection from local interests than any other site. A final decision has not been made yet and if the hon. and gallant Member will send me details of his suggested alternatives, I will gladly have them examined.
